The Century Club of San Diego announced on July 19 it has named Marty Gorsich as its new CEO of the PGA Tour’s Farmers Insurance Open. According to a press release, Gorsich, who joined the Century Club in April 2012 and has served as COO since 2016, will replace Peter Ripa, who will leave the Century Club at the end of July after eight years as CEO.
Gorsich is a San Diego native. He’s held a number of positions in the sports industry, including 13 years with the San Diego Padres, as well as working with the San Diego Sports Commission and the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.
Gorsich graduated from UC Santa Barbara and resides in Clairemont.
The Century Club of San Diego is composed of more than 50 local business leaders and plans and hosts San Diego’s PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open event. The Farmers Insurance Open will take place Jan. 23 to Jan. 26, 2020.
