San Diego’s AristaMD has hired Adam Darkins, known for his work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, as the company's chief strategy officer.

AristaMD’s platform is geared toward connecting primary care providers with specialists through electronic consults.

Darkins brings more than 22 years of experience, including in developing telehealth networks and supporting health care organizational change management.

From 2003 to 2014, Darkins led the development of telehealth services at the Department of Veteran Affairs. Since Darkins’ implementation, more than 600,000 patients received telehealth services through 1.7 million episodes of care annually.
