North County Health Services (NCHS) board of directors has announced the appointment of Barbara S. Kennedy as president and chief executive officer. Kennedy will succeed Irma Cota starting Feb. 26, according to the organization.
Kennedy has more than 20 years of experience in senior healthcare, and recently served as the president and CEO of Northern Arizona Healthcare Verde Valley Medical Center.
Cota has led the organization for more than two decades, according to the announcement. NCHS has 13 clinics and more than 700 employees with an annual projected budget of nearly $80 million for 2018.
NCHS is a private not-for-profit organization that serves more than 65,000 patients annually at 13 community health centers in Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, San Marcos, Ramona, Perris, and through two mobile clinics.
