Medical device and surgery company NuVasive has launched Modulus XLIF, titanium implants that are 3-D-printed, expanding the company’s surgical offerings.
The Modulus titanium implants were developed to mimic natural bone's porosity and stiffness for reduced stress. The company said the technology represents an advancement in the lateral spine procedure that it pioneered.
“Modulus XLIF maximizes the potential of 3-D-printed spinal implants through the application of unique and advanced software optimization processes. This product launch further represents our continued commitment to advancing surgical materials,” said Matt Link, executive vice president of strategy, technology and corporate development of NuVasive
