Each year, the San Diego Business Journal honors the financial wizards who work behind the scenes — the chief financial officers. Now in its 11th year, the CFO of the Year Awards recognizes contributions to company growth, leadership and community involvement by top financial executives in the San Diego area. A panel of independent judges, drawn from the region's top financial leaders, will select candidates who overcame unique challenges and stood apart in the ranks of local CFOs.
Fifty-six finalists were selected in public company (publicly traded), privately held company, nonprofit organization, and government agency categories. The winners will be announced at the March 16 awards event at Paradise Point Resort & Spa.
Ronda Sedillo from the San Diego Padres will receive the 2017 Exemplary Service Award and Malinda McDonald of the American Red Cross will receive the 2017 Community Service Award. Tickets can be purchased at sdbj.com/bizevents.
All finalists and award of distinction winners will be profiled in a San Diego Business Journal special publication and online. The special publication will be in the March 27 issue of the San Diego Business Journal.
