Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. reported a net loss of $2.2 million on revenue of $221.5 million during its fourth quarter, which ended Dec. 28. The net loss for the quarter amounted to 4 cents per share.
In the year-ago quarter, San Diego-based Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) reported a net loss of $7.4 million — or 13 cents per share — on revenue of $235.7 million.
For the recently ended year, total revenue was $868.0 million, down 8½ percent from $950.6 million in 2013. Kratos reported a net loss of $78.0 million in 2014, or $1.35 per share, compared with a net loss of $37.2 million, or 65 cents per share in 2013.
The contractor, based in University Towne Center, said it received $320 million in new contract awards during the fourth quarter.
