The Dutch real estate investment firm Wereldhave said Sept. 8 it purchased DiamondView, a 15-story high-rise in the East Village overlooking Petco Park, for $161 million.
The seller, San Diego-based Cisterra Development, completed construction of the Class A office building in April 2007. It was 91 percent leased at the time of the sale.
It is the largest sale price for a commercial building in San Diego this year.
The acquisition is Wereldhave’s second property investment on the West Coast. It purchased Broadway 655 from Lankford & Associates Inc. last year.
DimaondView is home to Cox Communications Inc.’s Channel 4 San Diego studio, Comerica Bank, CB Richard Ellis, Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial and ThinkBig Media.
