The San Diego Women’s Foundation (SDWF) has made available its Cycle 21 grant funding. This is open for nonprofit organizations that provide services to help individuals and families acquire or maintain stable housing.
The grant cycle begins on July 1, 2021 and ends on June 30, 2022. SDWF expects to award $200,000 to $225,000 in July 2021.
“Housing stability is one of the greatest challenges facing San Diego and this ongoing issue has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Stephanie Cook, executive director. “For our 21st grant cycle, we will award unrestricted funding to organizations to help break down housing barriers.”
SDWF is accepting letters of inquiry from nonprofit organizations, including education and outreach services to identify housing options; case management; applications and forms assistance; upfront costs like deposits, fees and moving costs; and rental and mortgage assistance.
A Grantseekers Forum will take place Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, through which attendees will receive guidance on the Foundation’s selection process and how to apply for a Cycle 21 grant. The deadline to submit a Letter of Inquiry is December 18, 2020 at 5p.m. Information is available at www.sdwomensfoundation.org.
The San Diego Women’s Foundation was founded in 2000 and aims to connect, educate and inspire women to come together in collective philanthropy. Contributions of the 200 SDWF members have resulted in over $4 million in grants that have been awarded to more than 90 nonprofit partners and more than 70 thousand San Diegans.
