The NTC Foundation, a San Diego nonprofit established in 2000 to renovate community assets, has been awarded $19,000 by the California Arts Council for its Liberty School program.

The NTC Foundation developed Liberty School free of charge for underserved students in San Diego County who struggle with academic success.

“We are grateful to receive the California Arts Council grant which will positively impact so many students who face barriers like homelessness, poverty and parental military deployment,” said Lisa Johnson, NTCF president and CEO.

NTC Foundation was one of more than 1,500 grant recipients of the nearly $30 million awarded to nonprofit organizations for their work to strengthen the arts, culture and creative expression.
