SENTRE Acquires Ocean Ridge Building in Carlsbad

A real estate investment and development firm based in downtown San Diego bought a Carlsbad office building for an undisclosed price.

SENTRE acquired the three-story Ocean Ridge building at 5796 Armada Drive from Miller Global Properties based in Denver.

Designed by Brian Paul & Associates as the architect, the 75,937 square-foot Ocean Ridge was built in 2006 using a combination of steel, stone and glass.

The building was 86 percent leased at the time of sale. Tenants included Charles Schwab, Meketa Investment Group and InvestCloud.

Louay Alsadek and Hunter Rowe of CBRE represented Miller Global Properties.

SENTRE represented itself.

Scott Peterson and Bill Chiles of CBRE organized financing on behalf of SENTRE.

Matty Sundberg and Justin Halenza of Cushman & Wakefield were leasing experts on the sale.

“The property’s coastal Carlsbad location is irreplaceable,” Alsadek said. “It is situated on a prominent bluff overlooking the Carlsbad flower fields and the Pacific Ocean with expansive panoramic ocean views.”
