Sempra Energy reported earnings of $274 million, or 99 cents per share, on total revenues of $2.94 billion in the third quarter of 2018. The San Diego company released its financial results on Nov. 7.
In the third quarter of 2017, Sempra (NYSE: SRE) reported earnings of $57 million, or 22 cents per share, on total revenues of $2.68 billion.

Also on Nov. 7, the company announced that it signed agreements with three firms — Total S.A., Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd. — covering the full export capacity of its Energía Costa Azul liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction project that it plans to build near Ensenada, Mexico. The agreements contemplate the parties negotiating and finalizing definitive 20-year LNG sales-and-purchase agreements.
Previously in the week, Sempra announced that France-based Total would contract to take some of the production in the proposed phase 2 of its Cameron LNG plant in Louisiana.
