RF Industries Ltd. has named Robert Dawson to its board of directors.

Dawson, 44, has been chief executive of the electronic component company for a year, and led it to its biggest sales quarter in its existence. The business made $22.4 million worth of sales in the second quarter of 2018, up from $7.6 million in the same quarter one year ago.

RF Industries (Nasdaq: RFIL) manufactures and markets interconnect products and systems, including cables, connectors and jumpers.

"We are delighted to welcome Rob to our board,” Chairman Marvin Fink said in a statement. “Under his leadership, the company has benefitted from his ability to develop a culture of growth based on core values of positivity, accountability and communication. As a result, the company has experienced significant sales and earnings growth since he joined the company less than a year ago.”

The business announced the appointment June 25. Dawson will complete his first anniversary with the company on July 17.

Dawson received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hillsdale College. Prior to joining RF Industries, he was CEO of Vision Technology Services in Maryland. Vision is an information technology consulting and project management company acquired by BG Staffing in 2015.
