Craig was among the first women to turn a given name into an enduring brand, launching the Jenny Craig weight loss business in Australia in 1983. She and her husband brought it to North County in 1985. Craig has long been involved in the horse racing scene, and her name adorns the University of San Diego Jenny Craig Pavilion, affectionately known as the Slim Jim.
