Co-founder and Partner, Finistere Ventures

Kukutai co-founded Finistere in 2005 and became a pioneer in the agtech and food tech sectors. They invest in companies involved in genomics, engineering more efficient plants, weed resistance and even adaptive irrigation technologies. He served as Executive Chairman of PKW Farms, a diversified agribusiness investment entity in New Zealand, Asia and Australia.  He also led the New Zealand government’s Trade & Investment agency in North America, following which he emigrated to the U.S. Finistere now has satellite offices in Tel Aviv, Palo Alto and Dublin, Ireland. Kukutai also is chairman of the board of CropX Technologies, an Israel-based company involved in irrigation and agriculture analytics. He is on the board of several agtech companies and advises a few more.
