Steve Games has been a key component in growing three residential real estate firms to among the tops in the market. In 1985 he founded Pickford Realty Inc. in Rancho Santa Fe, which he grew to the dominant brokerage in the submarket. In 1988 he bought one of the original franchises of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates in the next seven years acquired more than two dozen competitors and grew the firm to be the largest in the entire market with more than 5,000 agents. In 2012 he joined forces with Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty, which since has been the region’s fastest growing firm. In September 2017, Games announced Nyda Jones-Church as Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty president and chief operating officer (COO).
