The San Diego 500, The Book of Influential Business Leaders, is the market’s most comprehensive product of people you should know in the business community. The 500 includes business leaders and executives who have founded or are running significant companies in terms of number of jobs, key products and services, experts who raise the level of the industry here and beyond and those who lead in the business community. The 500 is selected by the San Diego Business Journal newsroom.
Aaron Fulkerson co-founder and CEO of San Diego-based MindTouch, saw a niche in converting its clients’ unwieldy pdf user manuals for appliances, office equipment and other tech gear into web-housed microcontent that is easily accessed, understood and shared by customers. With about 100 employees, MindTouch clients include established names – Whirlpool, Newmar and Remington – as well as startups such as Code42, Zuora and Docker. In January, MindTouch took its first outside investment – $12 million in venture capital funding. Previously, Fulkerson worked at Microsoft, in Advanced Strategies and Policies, where he researched distributed systems. MindTouch was named one of the 2017 Hot 100 best privately held software companies by JMP Securities.
