Shirley Adams

Executive Director, CyberTech

Shirley Adams has many roles associated with the San Diego cybersecurity community. She is executive director of the member group CyberTech, a cybersecurity and Internet of Things business network. In that role she oversees the Smart & Safe Cities Institute, the new NEST coworking space, and the Entrepreneur In Residence program and the CyberHive incubator. She also is involved with Air Transport Association and is regional vice president for AFCEA International, a trade group for information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities. AFCEA supports STEM initiatives such as science fairs and robotics competitions and funds significant scholarship programs for students and teachers. Previously she was vice president of SPAWAR Services, Navy and Marine Corps Services Sector. In that role she was responsible for P&L and overall health and growth of the SPAWAR Services Business Area, which encompassed 312 employees producing $75 million in annual revenues.
