NuVasive Inc. said Aug. 9 that it has formed a strategic partnership with Germany-based Siemens Healthineers.
NuVasive (Nasdaq: NUVA), based in Mira Mesa, brings spine surgery solutions to the partnership, while Siemens brings 3-D imaging.
The first step in the Spine Precision Partnership will be to integrate NuVasive’s Pulse surgical automation platform with Siemens Healthineers’ Cios Spin mobile 3-D imaging for intra-operative quality assurance. The Siemens product is not yet commercially available in the United States.
NuVasive had $1 billion in revenue in 2017, up from $962 million in 2016. It employs 2,400 people.
