Shelley Addy is joining Coastal Payroll as chief human resources officer to advance the San Diego-based company’s comprehensive workforce management suite, Coastal HR Elite, as well as oversee its internal human resources needs.
Addy is currently president of HR GPS, a human resources consulting company in San Diego.
Coastal and Addy have long been associated with each other, but their direct working relationship began in January 2017 when HR Elite was first launched in response to Coastal’s clients’ needs for higher level human resources support, according to a company news release.
Coastal President Craig Coleman and Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Gallagher remarked on the beginning of their relationship with Addy and HR GPS: “In our first 12 months, we had much success with the service. We signed up more accounts than expected and we’ve learned a lot about the HR consulting space and how we can add value to our clients. We see huge potential in this space and we’re ready to build our team to meet this demand.”
Officially joining May 1, Addy is also bringing over Justina Davis to provide critical support to HR Elite clients.
“Most employers want to do the right thing, but they don’t know what they don’t know,” Addy said. “We help protect small to medium-sized employers from themselves by giving them the tools they need to function well from a human resources standpoint.”
The HR Elite function is the strategic backbone that enables companies and entrepreneurs to build healthy employment relationships, and make sure their infrastructure is sound and scalable as they grow.
“There are a lot of employers out there who don’t need a full-time human resources department but they do need human resources solutions that are cost effective and reactive to their individual needs,” Addy said.
