The U.S. Navy awarded the Aircraft Readiness Alliance LLC of Anchorage, Alaska an $18.8 million contract for depot level maintenance support services. Most of the work will be in San Diego.

Work will be done through Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, which maintains and overhauls the Navy’s aircraft. Some 80 percent of the work will be done in San Diego. An additional 3 percent will be done at Camp Pendleton while 2 percent will be done at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Work will continue through October 2018.

The Aircraft Readiness Alliance is a small business.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division of China Lake made the award, announced Sept. 20. Five businesses bid on the work.
