Local startup Cloudbeds has acquired San Francisco software firm OneRooftop, a website builder for vacation rentals, in a deal that expands the San Diego company’s offerings.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Cloudbeds, founded in 2012, makes management software for independent hotels, hostels, inns, and other hospitality businesses. With this new acquisition, the company is moving into property management for vacation rentals.

“We have always believed that independent operators are the future of hospitality and, more than ever, hosts and management companies need access to professional tools that will allow them to compete effectively in more established hospitality distribution outlets,” said Adam Harris, Cloudbeds CEO and co-founder, in a statement.

OneRooftop, founded in 2010, helps users run vacation rentals, manage bookings, and do marketing with email newsletters. The company has partnerships with Airbnb and HomeAway, allowing the company’s users to push listings into multiple vacation home channels.

The seven-person team at OneRooftop is joining Cloudbeds staff, including OneRooftop co-founders Chad and Sarah Brubaker.
