CVF Capital Partners, a Davis-based private equity firm that specializes in providing lower middle market and middle market companies with mezzanine capital, has opened an office in downtown San Diego.
“We have done business for years all over California and the Central Valley, but having a local San Diego office will allow us to broaden our reach and be closer to business owners, advisors, bank partners and many of our LPs in Southern California,” said CVF co-founder José Blanco, one of the firm’s three managing partners.
The San Diego office is headed by Stefan Okhuysen, who had worked for the firm before a stint at Tresalia Capital and recently returned to CVF to lead the new office.
“To date, we have done transactions in California, Washington, Oregon and Texas,” said managing partner Ed McNulty. “Opening a new office will allow CVF to expand and better cover markets throughout the West.”
CVF recently launched its third fund, the company also announced, from which it intends to make investments of $5 million to $20 million per transaction.
