The U.S. Army awarded Palomar Display Products a $9.3 million contract modification, letting the Army buy more of the Carlsbad company’s binocular image control units. Crews operating military tanks and other military vehicles use the displays.
Palomar says its compact binocular display technology delivers large virtual images in small, ruggedized, militarized packages.
A Pentagon announcement from June 14 said work locations and funding will be determined with each order. Work will continue through February 2020.
Palomar Display Products is a small business.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command of Alexandria, Va. awarded the deal.
