RF Industries Ltd., a producer of telecommunications interconnect products, appointed Gerald T. Garland to its board of directors on June 9.
Garland, 66, was previously senior vice president for Tessco Technologies, a Maryland-based value-added distributor and solution provider for the wireless industry. He was CFO and treasurer of Tessco in the 1990s, when he took part in the company’s initial public offering.
Garland will receive a prorated portion of RF Industries’ compensation for nonexecutive directors. For the year ending Oct. 31, nonemployee directors receive $50,000 annually, half in cash and half in stock options.
(Nasdaq: RFIL) has its headquarters in San Diego’s Miramar neighborhood. The company’s products include RF connectors as well as coaxial, wire harnesses, fiber optic, custom cabling and data center equipment. Howard Hill is the company’s interim president and CEO.
