National law firm Wilson Elser has relocated its downtown San Diego office to 1 Columbia Place, 401 W. A Street, 19th floor. The firm’s former location was 655 W. Broadway.
The 10-year lease, which began June 1, is for 11,300 square-feet and includes contiguous options to grow and parking. The location, 1 Columbia Place, is a 27-story Class A building in the west end of downtown San Diego.
“It was important for us to remain downtown near the state and federal courthouses,” said Robert Harrison, regional managing partner of Wilson Elser’s San Diego office. “The relocation to new office space has enabled us to reduce our footprint by about 5,000 square feet by instituting a more contemporary floor plan with single-size offices and less space allocated to the library and other support services.”
Chris Tarzon of Savills Studley represented Wilson Elser in the transaction. The building owner, Emmes Realty, was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Steve Center.
Wilson Elser, a full-service and defense litigation law firm, serves its clients with nearly 800 attorneys in 31 offices in the U.S. and one in London.
