Accesso Technology Group PLC, a public company headquartered in England, has agreed to acquire TE2 – The Experience Engine, a San Diego firm founded in 2013, for $80 million.
TE2, which has offices in Orlando in addition to its San Diego headquarters, provides hospitality-focused operations, from theme parks to ski resorts, with technology that tracks guest behaviors. The company has worked with brands such as Merlin Entertainments, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Carnival Corporation and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
"Leveraging TE2's platform means we can offer a more personalized customer experience, better anticipate guest needs and enhance spending through highly-targeted, real-time interactions,” said Steve Brown, CEO of Accesso, which provides ticketing software to more than 1,000 attractions and venues worldwide.
Accesso, which said the acquisition was the largest it has made, announced the agreement Wednesday.
The company trades on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange, as ACSO.
