Carlsbad-based hotel operator Sethi Management Inc. plans an Aug. 28 ground-breaking for a new 204-room, dual-branded Hilton campus being developed in Chula Vista’s Eastlake neighborhood.

The project, at 2424 Fenton St., includes a Hampton by Hilton and a Homewood Suites by Hilton. Chief Operating Officer Ganisha Sethi said the expected development cost is approximately $30 million, and the hotels will employ between 50 and 60 after construction is completed in November 2018.

A company statement said the hotel campus will include a business center and fitness center, and the Homewood Suites will have an outdoor kitchen and grill area, pool and sports court. The Hampton hotel will have solar panels and an electric car charging station.

The project’s general contractor is Medearis Construction, and the architect is Robert F. Tuttle Architects Inc.

Sethi Management currently operates eight hotels in California, Arizona and Nevada, and has five Hilton projects in its development pipeline.
