Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego recently placed at No. 8 among the nation’s Top 10 meeting hotels based on booking activity, in an annual list published by event management technology provider Cvent Inc.

The ranking is based on meeting and event booking activities completed during 2016 through the company’s Cvent Supplier Network, which features approximately 240,000 hotels and resorts worldwide.

Located at 1 Market Place in downtown San Diego, the 1,628-room Manchester Grand Hyatt opened in 1992 and is currently owned by Maryland-based Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. It is San Diego County’s largest hotel by room count.

The U.S. list also included Hilton San Diego Bayfront at No. 13, and Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina at No. 15.

Cvent’s U.S. hotel list was topped by Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., with Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona in Spain leading the list covering properties in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Marina Bay Sands Singapore was the top Asia-Pacific hotel for bookings.

Virginia-based Cvent Inc. provides cloud-based event management technologies and services.
