San Diego-based Impact Components Eligible to Vie for $9.5M in Navy Contracts

San Diego-based Impact Components is among four small businesses who recently received indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts to supply electrical components to the U.S. Navy.

The four vendors will bid on up to $9.5 million in orders over the next five years.

Specifically, the Navy will be buying electronic components — including resistors, capacitors, transformers, semiconductors, integrated circuits and connectors — used in airborne telemetry and instrumentation systems that are part of various guided weapons delivered to the fleet.

The contract was set aside for small businesses. Two of the other winning vendors were from Southern California: Laguna Components of Laguna Beach and Space Vector Corp. of Chatsworth. The other winning vendor was Archer Technologies of Oklahoma.

Seven companies submitted bids. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division of China Lake awarded the contract, which the Pentagon announced May 10.
