Indus Technology Inc. said on May 3 that it is leading a team that received a U.S. Navy contract that could we worth up to $2.92 million over five years, if the Navy exercises all of its options.

Under the deal, Indus and ICI Services Inc. will provide financial administration, management and planning services for Commander Naval Surface Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet, which has offices on the Silver Strand in Coronado. The one-year deal could be extended to as many as five years at the customer’s option.

Indus Technology is based in Old Town. The business typically serves SPAWAR, the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. Company CEO Jim Lasswell said the recently awarded deal is notable because it is the company’s first contract directly with the fleet.
