Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said that its RT Logic subsidiary received an $11.2 million task order from an unnamed U.S. government agency. The deal, announced March 8, calls for Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) to supply satellite and communication system products, hardware and equipment.
Kratos said that it is the third order from an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract.
The customer will use RT Logic’s Monics carrier management system, which is a commercial off-the-shelf product rather than a custom product.
RT Logic will also provide what Kratos calls “tailored solutions that support the next generation of wideband digital (satellite communications) payloads that are the future of satcom.”
The customer’s first two task orders were worth more than $8 million, Kratos said in a statement. The contract has a ceiling value of $49 million.
