Cubic Contract Award Announced in Error, Pentagon SaysWednesday, July 6, 2016
An $11.5 million U.S. Army contract modification for San Diego-based Cubic Corp., announced Tuesday, was announced in error.
The contract modification “has not yet been awarded,” the Defense Department’s public affairs office said in a correction to its daily contract award list, issued July 6.
A contract for similar work — a $52.2 million deal from the Army to train soldiers at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La. — still stands. Cubic has provided such training at Fort Polk for many years.
