Lytx Inc. — the privately held San Diego business that helps fleet owners monitor their drivers with its DriveCam family of products — said it had a record year in 2015.
The tech business reported 102,000 new subscriptions sold, bringing total subscriptions to more than 300,000.
The year saw Lytx book nearly $200 million worth of contracts.
Citing Frost & Sullivan research, Lytx representatives said their company has 66 percent of its market, roughly four times that of its nearest competitor at 14 percent.
Some 365 new companies adopted Lytx DriveCam programs during 2015, the company said, and nearly half of existing clients expanded the deployment of Lytx technology in their fleets.
Brandon Nixon is chairman and CEO of the business, which has its headquarters in the University Towne Center business district.
Lytx has 400 employees.
