Qualcomm Ventures recently participated in a wide-ranging, $793.5 million funding round for computer-imagery company Magic Leap. Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) officials declined to say how much it contributed.

Florida-based Magic Leap is developing augmented reality technology. With it, computer-generated images appear to a viewer as if they are part of the physical world.

Magic Leap announced its series C round on Feb. 2 and while it did not disclose financial terms, Qualcomm Ventures seemed eager to publicize its part in the company, posting an article about the new funding on its web page.

Alibaba led the round. New investors include Warner Brothers., Fidelity Management and Research Co., J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, as well as funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates Inc. and Wellington Management Co.

Returning investors include Google Inc., Legendary Entertainment, KKR, Vulcan Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Andreessen Horowitz, Obvious Ventures and others.
