San Diego International Airport saw total passenger traffic rise 3.3 percent from a year ago in the first 11 months of 2016, topping 19 million, according to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

Officials reported a total of 18.3 million domestic passengers for the January-to-November period, for a 3 percent increase; and 714,283 international passengers, up 11 percent from a year ago.

Total cargo tons processed at the airport rose 8.1 percent for the period, to approximately 153,277.

For the month of November, total passenger traffic increased 3.8 percent from a year ago, surpassing 1.68 million. Domestic traffic was up 4.1 percent, at just over 1.63 million, while international traffic declined 5.3 percent to 52,066.

Cargo tons processed at the airport rose 16.8 percent for November, reaching approximately 13,695.
