Contractor Awarded $9.7M Navy Contract

The U.S. Navy awarded A&D General Contracting Inc. a $9.7 million task order to build a combat service support facility at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

The Santee small business has done extensive construction work for the Navy and Marines.

The task order includes three options that could bring the deal to $10.1 million.

The deal calls for A&D to build a headquarters, operations and maintenance support facility serving the West Coast-based units of the 1st Marine Special Operations Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.

The Marines set a completion date of February 2018.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest of San Diego awarded the contract, which was announced on Aug. 8. The Navy received three proposals for the work.
