San Diego-based Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties announced the promotion of Mary Lee Blaylock to president and chief executive officer.
Blaylock has served as senior vice president and general manager of the company since 2014, providing leadership and direction to the company’s 60 sales offices and more than 3,000 agents. She will assume her new role immediately.
David Cabot, the former president and chief executive officer, was named chairman, according to the news release. He has served as president and chief executive officer since 2011.
HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, made the announcement. Blaylock will strategize, direct operations and oversee all business for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, including HomeServices Lending, Pickford Escrow, The Escrow Firm, California Title and Home Services Insurance Agency.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is a real estate company that serves Southern California, namely Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County and San Diego. In 2015, the company closed nearly 13,000 real estate transactions and nearly $12.5 billion in sales volume, according to the company’s news release.
