The U.S. Army recently awarded aerospace engineering work to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., which builds the Army’s Grey Eagle unmanned aircraft.
Two contract modifications worth $17.6 million will cover services for Grey Eagle, the Army’s version of the GA-ASI Predator aircraft.
The deals are contract modifications covering engineering services worth $9.5 million and $8.1 million. Both modifications run through April 2017. Work will be performed in Poway.
The Army Contracting Command of Redstone Arsenal, Ala. awarded the deals, announced April 14.
