General Atomics is opening the doors of one of its factories to the public on National Manufacturing Day, Oct. 2.
Pre-registration is required for the open house at GA’s Poway facility, which is producing a 1,000-ton superconducting magnet for a fusion nuclear reactor project in France. GA is building the magnet under a $200 million U.S. Department of Energy contract.
Tours are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
