Calame Development Inc. of La Jolla recently acquired a Miramar life science office property for $2.53 million, according to brokerage company Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF).

The seller of the 18,472-square-foot property, at 6605 Nancy Ridge Drive, was Torrey Pines ANA LLC of San Diego, represented by NGKF’s Brent Bohlken and Paul Britvar. The buyer was represented by Todd Law of Capital Growth Properties, according to CoStar Group.

The two-story property has recently been used primarily by biotech and research-and-development tenants. NGKF brokers said the buyer plans to occupy a portion of the building for its company, Compass Dermatopathology, a service provider for dermatologists, initially for administrative offices and lab work.

The buyer expects to grow into additional space at the property in the future. The building was constructed on 0.22 acres in 1990.
