Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. announced on July 6 that one of its subsidiaries had a new satellite equipment deal with a large Indonesian telecom company.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The customer is PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia TBK, known for short as Telkom. Kratos Integral Systems International Inc. is the business unit providing the satellite gear.
Telkom selected Kratos’ satID geolocation system as part of a contract with Kratos ISI to upgrade Telkom’s master control station. The geolocation system will support Telkom’s existing Telkom-1 and Telkom-2 satellites as well as the Telkom-3S satellite scheduled for launch in late 2016.
