Anti-virus maker ESET has named Gerald Choung as its vice president of sales.
Choung was previously senior director of channel strategy and sales for the Omnitracs unit of Qualcomm Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM) and held positions with Microsoft and Oracle. In his new job at ESET, he will concentrate on North American sales.
ESET, based in Slovakia, has its North American headquarters in downtown San Diego. It employs more than 200 people locally. The company says more than 100 million people use its software.
