Single-Family Home Sales Increased 12 Percent in July

Sales of San Diego single-family homes rose 12 percent in July compared to the year before, with 2,250 sales recorded, according to the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors, though the figures are down from the month before.

The median sales price of $555,000 was 7 percent higher than last year’s, the same percentage increase condos and townhomes median prices saw in their rise to $341,000. About 1,150 attached properties sold in July, 14 percent more than last year.

About 7,200 active listings were reported, representing a reserve housing stock of 2.6 months, the same as last month. A healthy reserve is considered to be five or six months.

The most expensive home sold in July was a $6.6 million, three-bedroom, four-bath home on the La Jolla Coast with 4,000 square feet.
