The median price for a single family house in San Diego remained unchanged in September from August at $510,000. The price was about 5 percent above the median in September 2013, according to the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors.

The median price on condos sold the county in September was $337,500, about 11 percent above the median price for the same month last year, SDAR said.

The market remained about the same in terms of sales with 1,728 single family houses sold, down 2 percent from August. For the full year, the number of sales was down by 1 percent.

Condo sales were up 2 percent from August to 865, but down 4 percent from September 2013.

Leslie Kilpatrick, SDAR’s president, said the local market was showing signs of stabilizing. “Excellent properties go up for sale every day, but the ones that are priced correctly are not on the market long, so I’s important for buyers to do their homework and be prepared to act,” she said.
