Bilbro Construction Company Inc. was awarded an $11 million contract to build Marine Corps facilities at Twentynine Palms, the U.S. Navy announced Monday.
Under the deal, Bilbro — designated as a small business — will design, engineer and build facilities for the 1st Tank Battalion at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.
The order contains four unexercised options and one planned modification. If exercised, the options would increase the value of the deal to $13.2 million. The order falls under Bilbro Construction’s multiple-award contract.
Construction is expected to be completed by December 2015.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest awarded the deal. The Navy said the command received three proposals.
