The U.S. Air Force said that it ordered $57.5 million worth of electronic equipment from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. of Poway.
The deal is a delivery order on a contract covering the Air Force’s Predator and Reaper unmanned aircraft program.
Under the deal, GA-ASI will provide hardware, software and documentation. The varied equipment called out in the delivery order includes 234 ground control station kits. Work will continue through December 2015.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.
