Illumina Inc. announced that Jeff Huber, senior vice president at Google Inc., has been appointed to its board of directors.

Huber joined Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) in 2003 and led development for Google Maps, Google Apps and Google Ads. Huber previously worked for eBay Inc. as vice president of architecture and systems development where he implemented eBay’s scalable technology foundations. Huber is also a member of the board of directors of Electronic Arts Inc.
