Borrego Solar Systems Inc., a San Diego designer, financier and installer of solar systems, said it broke ground on the Seneca Solar Projects, an 8.3 megawatt system in Victorville.
Owned by Salt Lake City-based sPower, the project is Borrego Solar’s second portfolio of projects under Southern California Edison’s California Renewable Energy Small Tariff program.
Borrego Solar said it acquired the projects in late-stage development under an agreement to co-develop and provide all necessary project financing, engineering, procurement and construction. Once all the development hurdles were overcome, sPower purchased the shovel-ready portfolio, the company said.
Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
