Tuesday, January 21, 2014

Cubic Corp. received contracts worth more than $12 million to supply training equipment to the Japan Air Self Defense Forces, the company said.

Kearny Mesa-based Cubic (NYSE: CUB) will supply gear to train Japanese fighter pilots using its rangeless air combat training system. Japan already uses the Cubic system.

Cubic’s products are equipped with GPS and other electronics that help commanders simulate combat and record events for after-action reviews.

The electronics are a product of Cubic Defense Systems, one of three Cubic subsidiaries.
