The San Diego regional office of Shea Homes has purchased 17 land lots in Carlsbad for $6.15 million, according to brokerage company Lee & Associates, which represented the seller.

The seller of the lots, Robert Miles Living Trust of Carlsbad, was represented by Lee & Associates principals Matt Weaver, Patrick Miller and Al Apuzzo. Shea Homes represented itself.

The lots total 5.3 acres off Pio Pico Drive at Las Flores Drive, according to CoStar Group and public data.

Los Angeles-based Shea Homes is the nation’s largest privately owned homebuilder, with several active developments in San Diego County and elsewhere in California. Shea plans to build 17 single-family homes on the Carlsbad lots.
